Annie Liu is a software engineer at Microsoft who previously worked as a Software Developer and Student Researcher for the UCLA ELFIN CubeSat project.1 She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Music Industry.1

During her time at UCLA, Annie contributed to the development of NASA-funded satellites in space as part of the ELFIN CubeSat team from October 2020 to January 2024.13 The ELFIN (Electron Loss and Fields Investigation) CubeSat is a tiny satellite designed to study space weather and electron behavior in Earth's environment.2

Annie has also completed internships at Microsoft, working on Power Virtual Agents in 2022 and 2023, before joining the company full-time in July 2024.1 She is currently working on Copilot Studio at Microsoft.1

In addition to her technical skills, Annie is bilingual in English and Chinese.1 She has received several academic honors, including being named a National Merit Finalist and an AP Scholar with Distinction.1
