Anshula Chowdhury

Anshula Chowdhury is the CEO & Founder of SAMETRICA, a prominent figure in impact measurement and reporting in Canada with over 10 years of experience.

She is a co-founder and founding Board Member of Social Value Canada (SVC), the national body regulating and accrediting impact reports and practitioners.

Anshula has been involved in the Province of Ontario's Impact Measurement Task Force, collaborating with leaders from organizations like Ontario Trillium Foundation, RBC, MaRS, and KPMG.

She is a thought leader in applying artificial intelligence to impact reporting and has worked with the University of Toronto to establish an AI data standard for impact reporting, later adopted nationally as part of the Common Approach.

Leading SAMETRICA, Anshula oversees various client implementations in public, private, and nonprofit sectors, focusing on impact frameworks in areas like gender equality, housing, employment, education, poverty, ESG, and local economies.

Before SAMETRICA, she co-founded the Young Social Entrepreneurs of Canada, engaged in international development projects, and led quality assurance at a Silicon Valley startup.

Anshula holds a Bachelor's in Economics with minors in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto's Trinity College, and completed training in Social Return on Investment through Social Value International.

She is an alumna of the NEXT Founders program and has a diverse educational background including studies in Arts, Economics, Political Science, and History.

Anshula's expertise lies in impact measurement, artificial intelligence, social entrepreneurship, and international development, making her a key figure in the field of impact reporting.
