I'm partially surprised and partially dismayed that the NPD #databreach has not gained more traction in the press. I have yet to find a friend or family member who hasn't been exposed in this breach. How do I know? Follow the link in the article (yes, it has been vetted, but please feel free to recheck) and you can determine if yourself or someone you know has been exposed.
I'm dismayed because we've become desensitized to these breaches, but this one is very damaging since it contains past and present addresses and SSN's. Enough information to commit #identity #fraud. Yet the USA will not pass comprehensive #privacy laws at the federal level, similar to #GDPR.
If you've been exposed then you need to immediately put a credit freeze on your account at the three major credit bureaus. You can do it online in minutes.
