This week marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of GenAI, underscored by groundbreaking developments at OpenAI's Dev Day, to Elon Musk dropping his Grok news, giving us major Hitchhiker’s Guide vibes. All of this against a backdrop of President Biden signing an executive order that attempts to set guidelines for new federal standards on AI safety, security and trustworthiness. The aim: to get ahead of widespread adoption, they hope. One thing is for sure - it is the year of Generative AI.   With this dynamic context, I'm thrilled to announce our latest partnership with NVIDIA. A global leader in enterprise GenAI infrastructure, NVIDIA has broadened their AI ecosystem to help take the friction out of GenAI adoption. This collaboration positions us at the forefront of this burgeoning domain. Coupled with our previously announced Microsoft alliance, we are crafting one of the most comprehensive and robust frameworks in the communications sector to deliver on mission-critical, carrier-grade GenAI promise.    Our innovative amAIz framework is designed to facilitate and expedite the adoption and integration of Generative AI technologies among the world's premier service providers, while bringing the guardrails and deep telecommunication verticalization required for enterprise adoption.   Our strategy is simple. Our entire CES platform will be supercharged with GenAI-native capabilities out of the gate. In addition to this, our amAIz framework will allow our customers to conveniently tap into and harness their extensive data resources to drive operational efficiencies, accelerate revenue recognition and deliver a seamless and exceptional customer experience… and on some days, all three together!   It's all about making Generative AI a no-brainer for top-notch service providers to adopt and implement – let's go!

I spent the last week on the West Coast visiting companies that are transforming humanity as we know it. It may sound grandiose (it's just technology, after all), but some of the things they shared were both exciting and foreboding all at once.

As those meetings were taking place, we kicked off our GenAI days at Amdocs led by Avishai Sharlin with a North Star of engaging and empowering our global workforce. We truly believe that generative AI has the potential to supercharge every employee and business function while at the same time enabling us to elevate capabilities across our product and service portfolio.

But back to San Francisco; here' is a snippet of some of the advancements that piqued my interest during the week:

◽ Multimodal large language models are here. Think images, audio, and video, and the interoperability between them. As humans, we are constantly absorbing sensory information, but being able to pass this on to an AI engine will create entirely new repositories of knowledge. OpenAI GPT4 and Google (Gemini) are leading the pack, and this was one of the most exciting demos I saw. Look out for more MLLMs (yes, yet another acronym) and a world seen through a truly multi-dimensional lens that stretches far beyond text. ◽ Mid-Training is a focus for many AI companies. Think about pre-training (costly, time-consuming, etc.) and post-training/fine-tuning (which is excellent but still needs to be more efficient.) Now, think of something in the middle. As industries focus on verticalized LLM solutions and incorporating various retrieval augmented generation (RAG) techniques, the emergence of mid-training as a practice may be a meaningful accelerator that can deliver real value to the business. ◽ Hallucinations have always been a cautionary tale for integrating large language models directly into user-facing products, but many of these companies are working tirelessly to minimize the impact by using various techniques including Chain-of-Thought (CoT) prompting, Chain-of-Verification (CoVe) and grounding with RAG that gave me a lot of hope for a hallucination-optimized future.

.... and we are just getting started.

Our strategic partnerships, coupled with accelerated investment in our amAIz Telco framework, will democratize the technology in our portfolio. To that end, we’re excited to roll out CES Spring edition, which is already powered by our amAIz framework.

I want to take the opportunity to recognize Yael Shur Shmueli's leadership of our ‘Guided Disruption’ work-streams. This program encompasses all aspects of organizational change management to ensure we’re best positioned to embrace the technology and accelerate its impact across our business. It’s a critical aspect that leaders of every industry should not neglect, as it’s essential to ensuring the safe, secure, and rapid adoption of new advancements.

So, what are you most excited about in this new era?
