Highlights
"Always be learning" is one of my favorite values we have at Waymo. Beyond the obvious benefits, learning something new also helps to keep our brains sharp (https://n.pr/3csvTg0). If you're looking to learn something new or sharpen an existing skill, you'll be excited to learn that Google just launched four new Google Career Certificates! If you're in the Greater NYC area, you have to check out this event hosted by my former professor and mentor Chuck Garcia! Beyond being a professor, Chuck is also the founder of Climb Leadership International and author of the Amazon best seller "A Climb to the TOP" (which I highly recommend).
His book is being adapted into a documentary series titled: "A Climb to the TOP: Stories of Personal and Professional Transformation". It features a diverse cast of aspiring achievers from all walks of life. Overcoming adversity, career challenges, and life’s unexpected obstacles, it tells inspirational stories of how each climbed their way to happiness and success. I'm one of these people and, thanks to Chuck, was able to climb out and continue to ascend.
This Thursday, August 15th, from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm (ET), the Series producers are shooting a piece of the pilot episode in front of a live audience at the Roulette Intermedium in Brooklyn. Audience interaction may be included in the episode. If you're interested, there are still a limited number of seats available. All are welcome!
