Highlights
It was wonderful to interact with 3rd year engineering students from Bangalore and Mysore colleges last week at our Technical Center India. This was done as part of our Diversity Utsav and it made my day to spend some time with these bright, young people and talk about Aptiv, the automotive industry and of course diversity. From 8% gender diversity when I was in college to close to 50% now is an indication of how our society, and culture have evolved. The IT industry stands out in encouraging gender diversity at the workplace with excellent policies and support systems in place, including great woman role models now. At Aptiv and TCI, this remains a strong focus for us and our recent return-ship program and growing number of male Allys are two such examples. Hard work, discipline, continuous learning , accountability are the key ingredients for success. For women, it also requires acknowledgement and removal of unconscious biases across the organizations. I want to take this opportunity to thank all my wonderful colleagues and managers (past and present) for their encouragement and opportunities provided.
Huge shoutout to the amazing DEI council at TCI. Sandhya Ramesh Saswati Mahapatra Mayukhi Sen, VenkataKrishna Ch Rajesh Pathak Bindu Sunil #AptivTCIDEI #MovingForwardTogether
Last week, while driving through heavy stop-and-go traffic, (That's Bangalore for you) I realized how crucial it is to prepare our vehicles for even the most mundane driving conditions. As I navigated through the congestion, I couldn't help but appreciate the technology we've developed at @Aptiv. Our Gen 6 ADAS system coupled with our extensive experience in automated driving, allows us to fine-tune vehicle control, even at those frustratingly slow speeds.
The work we do goes far beyond engineering and innovation. It's about creating a safer, more efficient, and more enjoyable driving experience for everyone. We have the opportunity to shape the future of mobility and make a lasting impact on people's lives.
