I am writing to address the inquiries regarding my recent decision to leave the Admissions Office at TAMUK, where I spent almost three years. Upon being accepted into the MSW Program, I realized my role was not aligned with my life goals. After some soul searching and conversations with colleagues, friends, and family, I submitted my resignation to prepare for the program's start this week. Although daunting, I was determined to avoid repeating the 20-year journey to my Bachelor's degree. My passion lies in working with Veterans, which I was fortunate to pursue in Los Angeles without formal education. However, in South Texas, formal education is essential for significant contributions. I am now pursuing my MSW, acknowledging the challenges of full-time study, but trusting in the Universe's plan for me. I am a firm believer in regularly assessing one's life and making bold decisions to foster growth. You have to embrace the unknown and make that jump. You have to step out of your comfort zone to grow and prosper!
