Highlights
Last month, I was speaking to a friend from Kenya and was sharing how scary it is that by 2050, 40% of the world’s population will be Africans and the majority of that number will be Nigerians.
Imagine, in 2024, we have more than 20 million kids who are not in school and that number has doubled since I started working in education.
In 2018, we had 10.5 million out-of-school children. By 2019, that number increased to 13.2 million and today, more than 20 million kids are not in school. Imagine, a 100% increase in 5 years 🥹😭😭
From the survey, I carried out in 2019, most of the kids who are out of school in the Ota community are not in school because of financial constraints.
Some of them can’t even afford the less than $1 public school fees. These are the kids that we cater to at Talent Mine Academy. Kids that come from the ‘poorest’ backgrounds and most of them struggle to even feed once a day.
We give them access to 12 years of free, high-quality education that can empower them with the knowledge, skills, and exposure that they need to make better life choices, come out of poverty, and transform their communities.
Having access to quality education has transformed my life and I don’t think any child should be excluded from the transformative experience that quality education gives, just because of their background.
This is why we secured a new property at Talent Mine Academy - to reach more than a thousand kids in the Ota community of Ogun State with access to 12 years of free, high-quality education.
Our goal is to build a free school for these kids and we need your help to do so.
With as little as N9,000, you can help us buy a bag of cement or more. You can donate via this link - bit.ly/tmaschool or directly to our naira account below:

I am excited to share that we have just acquired a new school property for our free school 🎉
GOD has been really kind to us at Talent Mine Academy.
After moving into our current rented school property, we realized that there was a huge debt on the electricity meter, and because of this, we couldn't afford to buy electricity, so we had to go off the grid.
We also didn’t have access to good drinking water, and at some point, our classrooms became too crowded to accommodate the rising number of out-of-school children in the Ota community where we serve.
This is why we decided to acquire a new school property.
With this property, we will be able to accommodate more than a thousand children, giving them access to 12 years of fully funded, high-quality education, and will also provide a boarding facility to some of them who live on the streets.
Today, I am calling on you to donate so we can renovate this property to make it conducive for learning for our students.
With your donation, we will be able to offer a high-quality education to children who are out of school and will never be able to see the four walls of a school.
