Stay AI's GTM team just wrapped up QBRs today...

Maybe it's an unpopular opinion, but I love QBRs. In a remote world, how do I ensure that they're productive?

1 - Identify Themes: On any given day, GTM can be a collection of 4-8 teams in a rapid-growth startup. Collecting common insights across QBRs should help inform the direction and discussions throughout the next quarter (i.e., didn't execute on x, y, z from previous QBR because it got deprioritized).

2 - Label Opportunities: This is where things can generally go wrong. In my experience, if themes are astutely identified, labeling your opportunities should be easy. Opportunities should be impactful and universally understood across departments (i.e., executing on x, y, z from QBRs).

3 - Action & Accountability: I firmly believe both of these work in tandem. This stage has two prongs. 1) The first is independently driven by every individual team member. It might sound obvious, but obstacles & opportunities are often identified, and they can get lost in the wind after QBRs. 2) The second is dependent on leadership to resource the aforementioned opportunities by eliminating friction for the team.

Now we get back to work. H2/2024 let's have some fun...
