Highlights
High-quality talent in SEA is moving to Ho Chi Minh City and Manila to start companies. I've spoken to many INSEAD alumni, originally from India and Europe, that have migrated to both cities. Building in healthtech, aquaculture, marketplaces, etc.
There is an overabundance of early-stage capital in India across sectors. Institutional funds would do well to relocate some personnel to these markets. Those that have a sense of what business models worked in India (and didn't) will thrive there.
🎤 We're working on building a New York University angel network to invest in Indian startups! If you're an alum, drop me an email saying "bobst" and I'll add you to our list (email in comment). We'll hold the kick-off call in... two weeks.
The best part of running INSEAD Angels India has been getting our alumni together, digging into businesses, and seeing where we can add value to our portfolio.
With NYU's addition, we hope to EXPLODE the network and access we bring our founders.
