Highlights
Over the past seven months, I've had the incredible opportunity to serve as the Chair of the OPEN Silicon Valley Women’s Empowerment Conference, alongside my outstanding co-chair, Emman Haider. This year, with the theme 'IGNITE,' our goal was to spark a societal commitment to women's empowerment and drive systemic change.
Delivering the opening address was an absolute honor. In my speech, I explored the deep fulfillment derived from living in alignment with our true selves and values. I highlighted the essential work of affinity organizations like OPEN SV in validating and celebrating our diverse identities, empowering us to forge our own unique paths.
As a daughter, a Muslim hijabi, and an American woman, my multifaceted identity has profoundly influenced my career. By volunteering with OPEN, I am empowered to act on decisions that reflect my deeply held values and identity. Women's empowerment is about more than shattering glass ceilings; it's about advocating together for inclusive spaces where all women can thrive.

Let's continue to build environments that celebrate and empower women across all aspects of our identities.
I dedicate this moment to my parents, Shama Khan and Babar Yasin, my unwavering supporters, and to all the mentors and friends in the OPEN SV community who have been part of my journey.

If you know me, you're aware of my deep appreciation for nurturing and celebrating diverse communities. It's more than just a belief; it's a passion that I'm fortunate to practice every day at SF New Deal.
At SF New Deal, we recognize that small businesses are the cultural bedrock of our city. Their success goes beyond economic prosperity; it directly contributes to the vibrancy of neighborhoods and communities that define San Francisco.
This #GivingTuesday, our goal is to raise $25,000 in the next 72 hours to unlock a matching donation of another $25,000. Your contribution will propel SF New Deal's mission to revitalize San Francisco, support the economic sustainability of our small businesses, and strengthen connections within our diverse community.
And here's something fun – the SF New Deal team is inviting everyone to vote for their favorite comfort food. It's a way to appreciate the amazing restaurant partners that participate in SF New Deal’s Family Meals program.
