Arian Jadbabaie

Physics Graduate Student at Caltech

Arian Jadbabaie is a quantum enthusiast with a focus on quantum foundations, quantum simulation, and multidisciplinary research. He has expertise in quantum optics and cryogenic quantum systems, coupled with an interest in the philosophy of physics. Arian's prior research includes quantum trajectories of superconducting circuits and spontaneous emission. His detailed interests span Quantum trajectory analysis, quantum control for individual and entangled systems, decoherence, quantum fluctuations, EPR steering, quantum simulation, and interpretations of quantum mechanics. Education-wise, he holds a PhD in Physics from Caltech, a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Washington University in St. Louis, and has studied Physics and Philosophy at Jesus College, Oxford University. He completed his high school at Amity High School. Arian has gained experience working as a SULI Intern at Berkeley Lab and Brookhaven National Laboratory, a Teaching Assistant, and Undergraduate Research Fellow at Washington University in St. Louis. He has been actively involved in various organizations during his academic journey, including the Society of Physics Students (SPS) where he held roles as President and Vice President.
