Arianne Zwartjes is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in various organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Cross-cultural Education and Social Change from the Friends World Program at Long Island University (now LIU Global). She furthered her education by studying at UWC-USA and completing a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing at the University of Arizona.

Arianne Zwartjes has held several key positions in different organizations, showcasing her versatility and expertise. She currently serves as MFA Faculty at Sierra Nevada College. Her previous roles include Wilderness Medicine Instructor at the Wilderness Medicine Institute of NOLS, Creative Writer specializing in Lyric Nonfiction, Poetry, and Hybrid Works as a Freelance Writer, English Department faculty member at Santa Fe Community College, Director of the Wilderness Program at United World College, English Instructor of Language & Literature at United World College, and Creative Writing Instructor at the Poetry Center of The University of Arizona, among others. Her experience also extends to teaching positions in writing programs and English departments at various institutions.

With an extensive background in education, creative writing, wilderness programs, and outdoor education, Arianne Zwartjes brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to her roles. Her career has been marked by a strong commitment to education, writing, and the outdoors.
