Apple Car Play is more like Apple Car PAY.
At Apple's last WWDC a few weeks ago, many announcements were made, including Apple Car Play's next generation. I already mentioned that Apple is taking over the Automotive Industry, one screen at a time check my article and why I think that is a game-changer for the industry. Apple also announced that you will be able to pay for gas with your infotainment, something that Ford and Chevrolet had attempted before, and many gas stations had also attempted with little success.

You might expect another Apple fanboy to talk about the Apple Vehicle and predict when or how the vehicle will look, but this is not that article. As everyone waits for that vehicle, Apple sneaks into the automotive industry without anyone noticing. Let's take a moment to review the history of vehicle entertainment systems. Throughout my career, I used to sell brand-new vehicles where the radio was an option and cassette player and upgrade, many of which were dealer installed. After that, we moved on to cassette and CD players. Does anyone remember the CD changer? The box was either installed under the seats or at the back of the vehicle. A fun fact was that Mitsubishi made a CD changer that you could install vertically, whereas everyone else had to be mounted horizontally. Eventually, cassette players faded away, and we started using in-dash CD changers. https://lnkd.in/g3q53h-M
