I wish this was a post on climate change, humanity's challenge of the century.

But its been two months since October 7, the day our world came crashing down. Two months since Hamas planned and executed unspeakable atrocities, deliberately against civilians in Israel, the cruelty of which we thought was impossible. Systematic rape, torture, burning alive whole of while families, dismembering and mutilating bodies. 137 hostages dragged by Hamas into Gaza still anguish in unthinkable conditions.

We have born witness to the utter silence, indifference and failure to act with moral clarity by international institutions. We have seen the overt support for Hamas and the genocide of Jews by masses of protesters, including students at elite universities.

How did "resistance by any means," which condones rape and slaughter of civilians, become a vogue chant in the West, and what ever happened to the pursuit of peace?

Tonight is also the first night of Chanukah, the Jewish festival of light. I wish for our whole world that we see more light, warmth, compassion and humanity.

"Does calling for the genocide of Jews violate [your university’s] code of conduct or rules regarding bullying or harassment?"

Apparently, that is a tricky question for the presidents of Harvard University Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of Pennsylvania.

I literally cant think of an easier question to answer with a one word answer, "yes."

Calling for the genocide of any nation/people/ethnicity/religious group is unacceptable and there is no "special circumstances," or "it depends."
