Highlights
A professional update:
In January, I left the Hub seven years after founding it. I am so proud of what we accomplished and I am excited about its trajectory going forward.
After a month in Patagonia, I returned and started taking on a variety of projects and created a firm to house them: 33 First (www.33First.com). In April, my enormously capable former colleague from the Hub, Sophie Elliott joined me full-time. And, project by project, we’ve pulled in a group of very talented co-conspirators to work with us.
Our focus is strategy: helping non-profits, advocacy groups, funders, and mission-aligned companies plan for the future and execute on those plans. Among the projects we’ve taken on so far: ▶ We conducted a wide-ranging assessment to evaluate the tremendous disruptions in the news media landscape — and to reimagine business models (you can read it here --> https://lnkd.in/e7JVhziq). ▶ We’re supporting non-profits with their strategic planning, ranging from Giffords’ plan to fight gun violence over the next decade to Roosevelt’s vision for a new economic policy paradigm. ▶ We’re managing a strategy and engagement project exploring the implications of growing divides in state-level governance (let me know if that sparks your interest).
So, if you are thinking about strategy, drop us a line. Maybe we can help.
