Highlights
Freefly is on the right tracks, and shows how you get it done. They are the only US company to have successfully competed and won against DJI on any given market, they are the front runners to do it again.
Exciting.
This is my Venn diagram of "making the impossible real".
In practice:
- Freedom can mean a partner that supports you, a personal baggage you no longer carry, a pursuit of validation you have let go.
- Courage can mean the internal fire that comfort can't quench, the ability to handle failure, the mental strength to go against the current.
- Funds can mean the disposable time at hand, the decision power to spend resources as desired.
My address book is packed with people who have two of these (less common than one would think). Complementary skills that ultimately diverge in the specifics, so everybody is still working to find their missing piece.
If you have all three, you're golden.
That's why I tend to be annoyed at the whining, the blaming, the excuses.
DJI, China, Tech, AI, hardware vs software, everything that is layered in made up complexity boils down to this, and you'd be surprised to see how common it is for "powerful" people/institution not to have all three.
Line up all three, make the impossible real.
