Highlights
I have been wanting to learn to code for years and just couldn’t get past these 3 points: making the time, choosing a language, and deciding on a provider. The friction was too high for something that was just a ‘nice-to-have’.
The 1-day workshop this Saturday by NFP She Codes Australia cut through all that, and I was able to finish the HTML/CSS course & start on the Python course in just one day.
I LOVED that it was self-paced, the tutorials/exercises were pitched at the right level (and were fun), and there were so many friendly mentors floating around to help if anyone got stuck. I was very impressed by how well run the day was and how much I got from it! I’m finishing off the Python course at home as we speak.
Thank you so much to Kate Kirwin for setting an amazing tone, the wider SheCodes team, and all the sponsors. You are doing an amazing thing for Australian women!!!!
For all women in Australia; I highly suggest you get yourself to the next free 1-day workshop. In Perth it will be in September. Keep an eye out for the next workshop here https://lnkd.in/gWMB4bS7 or get started online beforehand here https://lnkd.in/gTsmgmwS
One of INSEAD's Entrepreneurship professors is opening up one of his classes to the public! Having attended the class, I can definitely see why Henning Piezunka wins so many excellence in teaching awards.
This workshop focuses on how to be / ID high-performing startups. There are only a few sessions left, but you can sign up here
