Deep Personalization — Is It Worth It for Businesses?

Deep personalization is becoming increasingly important in today's digital age, and it is closely related to AI-based automation. The idea of adapting every interaction to individual customer needs sounds like a marketer's dream. But is it worth the cost?

On the one hand, deep personalization can lead to higher customer engagement, increased conversions and brand loyalty. Today, people expect brands to understand them on a personal level and offer solutions that are made for them. However, creating these personalized experiences often requires segmenting audiences into ever-smaller groups, which can quickly drive up costs. This begs the question: where is the balance between delivering personalized experiences and remaining cost-effective?

I recently shared some thoughts on how AI is changing personalization in marketing here: AI is truly a game changer in marketing. It allows marketers to process massive amounts of data dozens of times faster, saving valuable human resources. With AI, you can analyze data to speak to consumers in their language, allowing you to create more effective and personalized marketing strategies.

This raises a thought provoking discussion: is deep personalization through artificial intelligence the future of marketing? Along with me, Khushboo Nangalia and Anil Chandran S have shared some thoughts in this thread.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think deep personalization is the key to future success? Share your thoughts in the comment!

Knowledge management: how to break the vicious cycle and avoid repeating mistakes

Starting a new business or project brings many challenges, and one of the most common ones is the tendency to repeat the same mistakes over and over. How can a company overcome this? Build a culture of continuous learning by documenting every experience — both positive and negative. Without this crucial step, you risk getting stuck in a loop, never fully growing from your own experience.

At Darkside Corp., I made it a priority to document every campaign in a detailed case study. I tracked plans, KPIs, and outcomes to transform these insights into a powerful growth tool. New hires reviewed these case studies during onboarding, quickly getting up to speed on what worked and what did not.

I applied the same approach when leading a digital agency. For me, this practice is non-negotiable and plays a crucial role in the successful development of the company. It not only prevents wasting time and resources but also helps to avoid the costly mistakes that can obstruct progress.

Unfortunately, too many businesses skip this point. But if you want to innovate and stay ahead, you cannot afford to ignore knowledge management.

What experiences with knowledge management have you had? Let’s discuss in the comments!
