🌟 Exciting News: Join Our Movement to End Loneliness! 🌟
First, a bit of context:
After finalizing my journey at adōpets, I realized that pouring my energy and life into building that company made me feel much more isolated, alone, and disconnected from my loved ones. After reading about incredible experiences shared by some incredible people (tagged below), I decided to join friends (Pat S. being one of them) to head down on building a more connected community through My Orbit.
Thank you for the inspiration and work: Andy Dunn, Adam Chekroud, Kelly-Ann Allen, Lisa Dolan, Kory Stevens, Karen DeSalvo, and the work being done by The Foundation for Social Connection by the hands of Jillian Racoosin Kornmeier, MPH, and many others.
Now, let's go to the point:
Today marks a significant milestone as we launch a groundbreaking initiative to address the pervasive issue of loneliness across America and worldwide. 🌍💙
Why is this important? Loneliness is more than a personal struggle; it affects public health and community well-being. Recent studies, including findings from Harvard University's Making Caring Common Project, highlight the alarming rates of loneliness among young adults and parents with young children, correlating it with severe health risks like depression and heart disease.
🔍 We Need Your Insight! Your experiences and insights are invaluable. By sharing them, you contribute directly to developing tools and resources to reduce feelings of isolation and enhance community connections significantly.
🤝 How Can You Help?
