Highlights
When my first child was born 7.5 years ago, it affected me in several ways. From a time perspective, it impacted me being able to do some of the things I loved ....I no longer had time to volunteer at church or in the community the way I wanted. That piece of my "time" pie was consumed with taking care of this precious little girl I had created. And when my son came 2 years later, it got even smaller.
Having kids also made me realize how much I wanted to dedicate even more of my personal purpose in life to creating a more equitable world for my daughter, as a female, and other under resourced and under privileged communities around the world. This conflict made me realize that I needed to take steps within my professional life to help support MY purpose.
Six years ago, I was fortunate enough to land a job in Womens Marketing at adidas and since then it has ballooned into launching brand and purpose initiatives and campaigns to support equity in sport.
Today, the manifestation of my dreams come true as I embark on a new adventure as the Sr. Director Global Purpose Marketing for adidas in Germany. In this new role, I will be driving the Global Purpose strategy for our brand, helping to align and deliver on partnerships and initiatives that drive access, equity and safety in sport. I am so excited to support adidas on their Purpose journey and showing that "through sport, we have the power to change lives."
The next couple months are going to be a wild ride as my family transitions to life in Deutschland, and I want to thank my amazing husband Tom Czarnowski for supporting me in this journey. Thank you as well to Emily Maxey, Tauna Dean, Nicole Vollebregt and many others for your constant mentorship and support along the way.
