It was a privilege to co-organize with colleagues at the IMF's Digital Advisory Unit and World Bank's Tech & Innovation Lab a workshop at the IMF/WB Spring Meetings for central banks on #cybersecurity for #CBDC.

In our workshop, "Securing the CBDC Ecosystem," key messages included the need to prepare for the upcoming #quantumcomputing threat, the value of threat modeling, the potential benefits of testing and learning from open-source software (risks and challenges not withstanding), and the need to consider the potential impact of #genAI. Two quotes capture the essence of the session, "If there's no security, there's no money," and "Security by design is your best defense."

Thanks to the co-organizers and participants for valuable discussions on this imperative topic! #SpringMeetings
