All content needs your perspective, point of view, or expertise. Great content incorporates all three.

But some content, particularly top of funnel content (tofu), needs one of these more than the others: your expertise.

With top of funnel content, people are looking for information on a topic that you hope will lead them to you. They are not looking for you specifically yet. But lending your expertise to help them build a strong foundational understanding of that topic? That’s useful.

I often hear people write off upper funnel content in technical spaces because introductory level content attracts audiences who are under-educated on your subject area.

But technical buyers tend to invest a good amount of time to educate themselves on a thing before they start shopping for the right version of that thing. Or they share that content with others in the potential buying sphere who have limited understandings of that thing.

100-level content is where you can meet these future prospects early with your expertise.

And, most importantly, you’ll stick in their brains longer when the resources you put out into the world have the knowledge and depth you’ve accumulated over the years, packaged in a simple and consumable way. ✨

"All Universal Analytics services cease to function starting July 1, 2024."

For most, this Google Analytics email from ~10 days ago probably isn't toooo alarming. We're up and running on GA4 these days whether we love it or not. 🙃

But if you want to view UA data in the future for things like year over year traffic trends or referencing prior performance, it's a good time to think about how you'll do that after July 1.
