Ashley Phillips is a fine artist and the Co-Lead for Artists-for-Ecocide-Law at Stop Ecocide International. She is the founder of Glartique, where functional surfaces are transformed into art pieces that promote sustainability, biomimicry, and mental health.

With a background in Design & Public Art, Ashley has a 1st class Hons from the University of the Arts London, a PGCE in Design Technology from Goldsmiths, University of London, and an MA in Sustainable Design from Bournemouth University.

She is recognized for her expertise in sustainable design, circular economy, and biomimicry. Ashley is also passionate about art activism and creating public art installations and murals that reflect her unique style of abstract self expressionistic paintings.

Ashley's extensive experience includes roles as a Creative Director, Associate Lecturer at prestigious art institutions, Art & Design Teacher, and Sustainability Officer. She has also worked as a freelance Maya Modeller and has a strong background in digital design.

As part of the Design Science Studio at the Buckminster Fuller Institute, Ashley is dedicated to using nature, science, and design principles to envision a regenerative and just future. Her skills in concept design consultancy, large format printing, and improvisation are evident in her work.

Passionate about upcycling, Ashley excels in creating bespoke printed splashbacks and incorporates elements like photo-luminescence into her art. She is committed to promoting mental health awareness through her art and practices laughter yoga as a form of therapy.

An advocate for sustainability and the environment, Ashley strives to educate and inspire others through creativity. Her contributions to pushing for #ECOCIDE as the 5th international crime exemplify her dedication to using art for positive change.
