Asli Akalin is a dedicated 5th-year student at UC Berkeley, currently pursuing a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with a strong focus on Education, Software Engineering, AI/ML, and Human-Computer Interaction.

Asli graduated with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. She has also engaged in varied educational experiences including Chinese Language and Literature studies at Princeton University, and diverse summer programs in business, economics, law enforcement, and more at prestigious institutions like the University of Washington and the University of Cambridge.

With an impressive academic background, Asli has held numerous positions within different organizations. She has excelled as a Head of Content Teaching Assistant for Software Engineering courses, Senior Research Assistant at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, and a Software Engineer at People Power Solar Cooperative, among other roles.

Furthermore, Asli has contributed extensively to the academic community through positions such as Head TA for teaching Computer Science courses, Undergraduate Researcher in Economics, Reader for Efficient Algorithms, and various mentoring roles at UC Berkeley and with Computer Science Mentors. Her diverse skill set also includes software development and academic internships at reputable organizations like the Free Software Foundation, Jara, and Blueprint.

Outside of academia, Asli has been actively involved in extracurricular activities, such as serving as Vice President at Prytanean Women's Honor Society, participating in international events like the European Youth Parliament as part of the National Turkish Delegation, and volunteering at the Young Guru Academy (YGA).

As a passionate problem solver and avid learner, Asli Akalin embodies a multidisciplinary approach to her education and career, blending technical expertise with a strong foundation in economics and a keen interest in languages and cultures.
