Assanke Koedam is an accomplished professional with a diverse academic background and extensive experience in various organizations. He holds a Master of Science in Hazards and Disaster Management from Kingston University, a Master's in Human Geography from Universiteit van Amsterdam, and a Master's in History and Sociology from Humboldt University of Berlin. Additionally, he completed his Bachelor's degree in Human Geography at Universiteit van Amsterdam.

In terms of his professional experience, Assanke has held important roles in several renowned organizations. He currently excels as a Regional Economic Security Analysis & Evidence Specialist at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Previously, he worked as an Information Management Specialist (consultant) for GBV AoR at IOM - UN Migration, Regional Information Management Delegate at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and as an Innovation Fellow at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. He also served as the Head of Information Management at JIPS - Joint IDP Profiling Service, where he had multiple roles including Information Analyst, Information Management Officer, and Information and Reporting Officer. Furthermore, Assanke gained valuable experience as an Information Analyst at ACAPS - Assessment Capacities Project, an Intern at the United Nations OCHA, and as a Coordinator for the Youth SEEN programme at Uptoyoutoo Foundation. He also worked as a Researcher at University of Amsterdam/University of Guyana.
