This article by Sriram Krishnan on private communities has been doing the rounds (of private communities, ofcourse!): https://lnkd.in/g44W6rUM
WhatAap based communities around tech and ecosystem in particular focused on vertical and horizontal areas are shaping the world in a small manner today. And being part of such unstructured, informal, bottoms up, crowdsourced, overwhelming, chaotic, etc forums has value not for instant gratification and transactional etc means but over the long strategic haul for holistically thinking ecosystem, country, society, etc. The wisdom of the crowds, as they say. Here's to the spirit of community 👍
What's your feedback on communities you are on? What are some of the better ones, their membership, culture, rules, and what purpose do they serve? Are such communities just the flavor of our times or are they here to stay?

One of the best examples of the power of digital technology to help solve mass everyday problems of citizens.
Travel Safe (T-Safe) a ride-monitoring service for women launched recently by Telangana State Police. T-Safe is the first of its kind service in India which aims at making travel safer for women, children and other vulnerable groups in the state. Well done Telangana Police for your vision and execution! More pointers in comments below including how to use this service if you are in the state of Telangana. Please do share this widely with your network in Telangana especially women and children.
How can this be implemented nationwide? Please tag influencers that can help such a service become available for every citizen of the country.
This is a great example of how India is building one of the leading digital public infrastructures in the world. And this is just the start. So, what other kinds of high impact digital use cases and citizen services can you think of that could be useful for undeserved, marginalized, etc, types of communities? Please post in comments, and if there are enough ideas, I will run a Poll with all the submissions to prioritize so that we can influence the country.
PS: as an aside, the video is so well crafted and makes such crime real for us; this is the power of storytelling.
