As someone who worked in solid companies where the management built into our DNAs to delight customers, add value and differentiate through excellent service on top of good quality products… this truly baffles me.
Why set the bar so low? Why award something which should be a hygiene factor in any business? This should not be an award in the first place. This should be an internal KPI which must always be met by all outlets at all times.
Aim higher and please do not settle for the baseline. As a customer, I feel sad seeing this displayed at the counter for all to see.

Tonight I saw a full tray of good roast chicken (6-7 birds) being thrown into the dustbin as the store was preparing to close for the day. I just couldn’t believe my eyes and went up to the person managing the deli counter to confirm. Apparently it’s company policy to dispose everything unsold for the day. I am shocked and extremely disturbed!
