My story on Co-Founder relationships.

A few months ago, I shared (to me it seemed a little random) post on LinkedIn, looking for a Co-Founder. It took me almost 2 months, until I was ready to share the post. Not because I was afraid of getting no response, but because I didn’t feel ready. I wasn’t even sure what exactly I was looking for.

When I finally hit ‘post,’ I expected minimal feedback — maybe a few responses at best. To my surprise, the post went a bit viral, reaching over 25,000 people on LinkedIn. Overwhelmed but excited, I found myself in 20 interviews and repeated conversations with incredible individuals who shared a similar vision and drive. I met so many inspiring, beautiful souls. Even if we didn’t become Co-Founders, I feel I gained new friends — people I’ve never met in person but still feel really connected to 🤗 .

Now on this journey, I finally met Anna Richter. After a series of intense 2-3 hour calls, navigating a 6-hour time difference, it felt the emotional rollercoaster of dating — this time in the context of finding my Co-Founder. I vividly remember sending Frederike Kugland a voice message to share this unusual yet exciting feeling.

Me and Anna met in person for the first time in Berlin for a pitch competition, and she even stayed at my place upon her arrival. Looking back, I can’t help but think, “What on earth were we thinking?” - But was there ever a right way of finding your partner to build a company with? With all the crazy stories of Co-Founder relationships I’ve heard, I’m not convinced there’s a clear answer. Little that I knew what I was doing, it was anyways clear to keep on moving, no matter what 🤷🏾‍♀️ ..

And now, as I write this, I still can’t quite believe that Anna is right now packing her bags and moving straight to Berlin! It’s a scenario I never imagined possible, yet here we are. Once again, I’m feeling the ups and downs of this Co-Founder dating process, but this time, I’m confident it will only strengthen our bond and fuel our progress. And let’s be honest, it’s going to make the tough times much easier to handle. To me, Anna is incredibly brave to make such a life-changing move in just a few weeks, and I'm beyond excited to have her back here soon for our next chapter to start 🙌🏾.

What about you? What’s your Co-Founder relationship story? I’m all ears for your stories and tips from the journey — drop them in the comments below!👇🏾

Yep. I 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 we all have been there!

We spend about a third of our lives at work. That’s roughly 90,000 hours over a lifetime, according to Andrew Naber. And a whopping 80% of that time is spent collaborating with colleagues or teammates. Studies from Stanford University show that teams that work well together are 50% more productive. To spice up the complexity, our global workforce is increasing the number of people working across cultures making collaboration either a yaay 😍 👍🏾 or a terrible meh 😭 👎🏾 . Yet the later is still too common.

𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞? Beides the fact that most of you probably have experienced such situation no matter the context, complexity or cultural background, I'm inviting you to share your story of the good, the bad, the worst and the best experience with me. With over 6,000 followers 💙 on LinkedIn, more than 80% of you have a diverse cultural background or work beyond countries and city borders.

I will share the link to the survey in the comments. It’s anonymous and takes just 6 minutes of your time (perfect for your after-lunch coffee break). Your insights will help us build a product you’ll love because you’ve co-created it!

P.S. If you spend more than 6 minutes on the form, DM me directly — we probably have a lot more to chat about! 😉
