Aun Mela is a seasoned professional with 15 years of overall experience and 11+ years specializing in infrastructure investing, particularly in power, renewables, sustainable energy, and digital infrastructure.

Currently, Aun holds the role of leading principal infrastructure investments at BCI, the 4th largest Canadian pension fund and the 9th largest infrastructure investor globally with $230 billion in total AUM.

Aun's educational background includes an MBA from Ivey Business School, a M.Sc. in Sustainable Energy from Georgia Institute of Technology, a M.Sc. in Microelectronics from KAUST, and a B.Eng. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore and McGill University.

His diverse experience spans North America, MENA, and exposure to Asia and LatAm through transaction and asset management at BCI, focusing on energy, power, renewables, and electric utilities.

Aun's passion for learning and involvement in intellectually stimulating challenges is evident, and he advocates for people development, following the motto of 'leadership through empowerment'.

Prior to his current role, Aun was a key member of Saudi Aramco's renewable energy group, contributing to the launch and implementation of KSA's National Renewable Plan.

Aun's strong understanding of infrastructure investments is reflected in the strategies he has formulated, as well as in his publications of reports, journal papers, and white papers on sustainable infrastructure investing.
