Aurel Niederberger

Aurel Niederberger is a dedicated International Relations scholar focusing on economic and financial sanctions, sanctions monitoring, and diplomacy. Currently serving as a postdoctoral researcher on the ERC project 'Bombs, Banks, and Sanctions' at the prestigious Graduate Institute Geneva. With a strong educational background, Aurel holds a Ph.D. in International Relations/Political Science from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, a Lic./MA in Political Science from the University of Zurich, and a Prediploma in Political Science and History from the University of Cologne. Aurel has an impressive track record working in various capacities at renowned institutions such as The Geneva School of Diplomacy & International Relations, McGill University, IWM - Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen, King's College London, Sciences Po, NATO SCHOOL OBERAMMERGAU, and International Relations and Security Network (ISN), among others.
