tl;dr I'm ready to obsess over something new 🚀

Dear network, I've had a wonderful year on my combined sabbatical and maternity leave, taking a real Scandinavian-style maternity leave, making up for lost time with family, friends, my two kids, and lots of surfing and mountain biking in the San Francisco Bay Area, while also advising, mentoring, and paying it forward.

More importantly, my sabbatical allowed me to dabble in a few creative projects, the primary one being reflecting back on my founder journey with Megacool through pieces posted (almost) weekly on my Substack.

Since founding Megacool in 2015 to getting acquired by Medal.tv in 2019 and joining as COO, to raising $60m+ together with Pim and the team, scaling Medal from 12 to 85 people, acquiring 4 more companies, and growing the company 10x during COVID—we emerged as the winner in the short form game clipping market. I’m proud of our achievements during the 4+ years we spent together and happy to see the rest of the Megacool team continue to thrive at Medal. After helping Medal transition to an in-person team in NYC and taking some time off after my 8-year hustle, I'm recharged and excited to look for something new.

✨ As we start 2024, I'm eager to join a new startup and ambitious product to obsess over. Bringing experience as a founder and startup operator, I'm looking to join an early-stage company with an ambitious, humble, and hungry team.

🕹️ What role? Previously, I've been an early-stage CEO/COO, so I'm used to wearing multiple hats—product, growth, sales, operations, people, and leadership! The most important to me is the problem you’re solving and your team.

🚀 What industry? Although I've been in the video games industry for the past 10 years, I'm industry agnostic. I believe many products could benefit from some game design inspiration.

🌉 Where? In San Francisco or remote.

🤝 What can I offer? I'm a startup leader with raw horsepower who doesn't take myself too seriously. I dive into new challenges headfirst, eager to unravel complex problems and learn new skills on the fly. My leadership style is anchored in active listening, empathy, and leading by example, focusing on nurturing each team member's potential and steering us toward groundbreaking achievements.

DM me to start chatting or feel free to share this with someone who's doing (mega) cool stuff!
