Friends -- It's not often you get an opportunity to change the trajectory of a young person's life. I have been aware of CASA's impact on our community for the past 25 years or so as my grandfather was an Advocate for many years, my former boss (Dax Williamson) chaired the golf board and has been intimately involved here in town, and I am now fortunate to be involved in a small way as a member of the golf committee as well.

The volunteers at CASA step in during the most vulnerable and scary point of a child's life to be their advocate and help them navigate the CPS and court system. Their impact helps save children from further neglect and/or abuse. Last year, more than 1,100 children in our community were served by CASA advocates, and the need continues to grow. The support you provide allows CASA to speak up for children who’ve been abused or neglected by empowering our community to volunteer as advocates for them in the court system.

To support this cause, I have set a personal fundraising goal of $2,000. Your generous contributions will help ensure that every child in Travis County receives the advocacy they deserve. Please consider donating through my fundraising page and making a difference in these children's lives.

Myself, along with CASA of Travis County thank you in advance for your support!

To all SVB clients and mine in particular, I’M SORRY. To see an institution that strived every day to support the entrepreneurs and investors who are disrupting and changing the world, suddenly cease to be able to do just that is heartbreaking. I feel for everyone that has stood by SVB that is now scrambling to figure out what the future holds. Please know that I care about y’all deeply and will do everything in my power to help going forward.

It’s been such a privilege working with the absolute best and brightest folks in town and I do believe that in the long run, this will pull our little venture ecosystem here in Austin even closer together. Whatever the coming days and weeks ahead bring, know that I’m here to support you and will continue to fight the good fight for my friends, clients, and colleagues in the innovation economy.

Lastly, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has trusted SVB and me personally over the last 4 years, your support means the world. Onward!
