Ayah Kutmah is a senior at the University of Michigan, majoring in Political Science & International Studies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and has engaged in various academic conferences, including those at Georgetown University, United States Naval Academy, Harvard University, and Northwestern University. Ayah also achieved a Summa Cumme Laude in GED at Kentucky Country Day School.
Ayah is actively involved in several organizations, including being the Co-Founder of REvive, a Refugee Education Initiative. She has previously served as the Co-President of the Michigan Refugee Assistance Program, Managing Editor of the Michigan Journal of International Affairs, and Programs Intern at the International Center for Transitional Justice.
