Ayah Kutmah

Co-President of the Michigan Refugee Assistance Program

Ayah Kutmah is a senior at the University of Michigan, majoring in Political Science & International Studies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and has engaged in various academic conferences, including those at Georgetown University, United States Naval Academy, Harvard University, and Northwestern University. Ayah also achieved a Summa Cumme Laude in GED at Kentucky Country Day School.

Ayah is actively involved in several organizations, including being the Co-Founder of REvive, a Refugee Education Initiative. She has previously served as the Co-President of the Michigan Refugee Assistance Program, Managing Editor of the Michigan Journal of International Affairs, and Programs Intern at the International Center for Transitional Justice. Ayah has also interned at Human Rights Watch, optiMize, and the Louisville Metro Government, among other positions. Additionally, she has experience as a Syrian Refugee Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, and Research Assistant at various institutions.
