Aylin Woodward is a science reporter currently based in New York City but originally from Santa Cruz, California. She specializes in writing about human ancestors, Earth science, and planetary defense. Aylin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Anthropology from Dartmouth College and a Graduate degree in Science Communication from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is also of Turkish descent and has a passion for roller derby.
