I’m very happy to share that I’ve completed my Master of Business Administration - MBA at University of South Australia!

Four years in the making, along the way we moved continents during lockdowns of a global pandemic, had our first child, and I undertook multiple new career endeavors - academic and student advocacy, training consulting, public health advocacy, board directorship and product management. Amongst all this, I’m very proud to have maintained a >Distinction grade point average.

There are many people to thank for their contributions to the journey: Andreas Anderhov, MBA and Sharad Govil for your honest and kind insights when this undertaking was merely an idea. Robin Foale and Olena Lyons for your mentoring and generously allowing me to learn from your experience. Peter Stevens for your stewardship of the UniSA MBA - I chose UniSA largely because of your influence, a decision I am thoroughly pleased with. Ruchi Sinha for doing adult education right and facilitating your students to a better understanding of themselves. David Lloyd for demonstrating what it is to be a truly great and effective leader during my time on University Council. Matthew Minns for supporting and nurturing of my learning since I’ve been at Cochlear. And my many classmates I shared the journey with and the lecturers who taught us well - you know who you are.

The biggest thanks has to go to my incredible wife - Emily Page. A long suffering “MBA-widow” holding the fort, she has continued to develop her own amazing career, to nurture and care for our daughter, and to believe in me at all times, even when I struggled to. This achievement is yours, as much as it is mine.

Looking forward to continuing to apply my learning, and to be able to relax just a little bit more on nights and weekends!

Very pleased to have received a Merit Award for my MBA efforts in 2023 from University of South Australia Business school!

Education is about so much more than marks and results distribution, but this is a nice pick-me-up for the home stretch. One more subject to go!
