Aza Steel is a co-founder of CoDream and previously worked at GoGuardian.1 He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in Sociology in 2013.1 Steel's professional experience includes working as a Software Engineer Intern at Yahoo! for 3 months in 2011.1 He was named one of Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2016.1

Steel co-founded GoGuardian in 2014 along with Advait Shinde, R. Todd Mackey, and Tyler Shaddix.3 GoGuardian is an educational software company that provides analytics, web filtering, and classroom management tools for schools using Chromebooks.2 The company grew rapidly, reaching a $1 billion valuation and becoming the fastest-growing education company on the Inc. 500 list in 2018.23

As of January 2025, Steel is hosting a founders retreat at his place in Hawaii, indicating his continued involvement in the startup and entrepreneurial community.4
