Barbara E. Wilks, FAIA,FASLA, is a renowned architect and landscape architect who founded W Architecture and Landscape Architecture in 1999 with a focus on connecting people with nature through design-oriented projects. She excels in urban design, public spaces, and institutional projects, earning several national design awards for her exceptional work. Barbara is a distinguished member of the College of Fellows at both the American Institute of Architects and the American Society of Landscape Architects. She actively participates in various organizations such as the Cincinnati Art Museum, Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park, Design Trust for Public Space, Beverly Willis Architectural Foundation, and the McHarg Center at the University of Pennsylvania. Barbara has an extensive teaching background, having served as an adjunct professor at esteemed institutions like Goucher College, Cornell University, University of Pennsylvania, and City College. Her expertise extends to infrastructure and public landscapes, waterfront developments, and university campuses. Barbara Wilks holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University.
