She currently serves as the Economic Initiatives Director for the City of Tucson, overseeing business attraction, retention/expansion, and small business and entrepreneurial development. Barbra has been instrumental in revitalizing downtown areas and commercial districts in Texas and Arizona, employing a community-driven approach that garners broad-based support. Her expertise in business attraction and retention programs in Goodyear, AZ, and her involvement with the International Council of Shopping Center's State Alliance showcase her leadership in the field.

During her tenure as Director of Economic Development in College Park, GA, Barbra played a key role in the formation of the first community improvement district around Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and facilitated the establishment of the city's first entrepreneurial development center, Club E. Her time in Henderson, NV, saw her successfully attract major companies like Turano Baking Co, Barclays, and The Raiders, further solidifying her reputation as a dynamic economic development professional.
