Highlights
Such a proud moment to have been part of the partnership signing ceremony between Hartford HealthCare (HHC) and UM6P - Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, a leading institution in Morocco, focused on research, innovation and transformation. HHC’s world-renowned Center for Simulation, Education, and Innovation (CESI) will be helping to develop, and operationalize, a medical simulation center for UM6P's medical school to train medical and nursing students as well as clinical staff. We are humbled by the trust of Mostafa Terrab, CEO and Chairman of OCP Group, Hicham El Habti, and Rachid EL Fatimy to partner with them along their journey to impact healthcare delivery in Moroccan communities and beyond.
The friendship with Mostafa Terrab began many years ago at MIT Sloan School of Management, while co-teaching with our mutual friend and colleague Dimitris Bertsimas in his “Leadership using Quantitative and Qualitative Approaches" (LQ2) course. Thankful for the many impactful relationships, such as this one with UM6P, which have been fostered by the strong collaboration between HHC and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the leadership of Jeffrey Flaks, Ajay Kumar MD MBA, and Rocco Orlando.

Very humbled to have had the opportunity, as an invited speaker, to share Hartford HealthCare’s (HHC) Innovation platform approach with the MIT Sloan School of Management Executive MBA ’25 cohort, for their “Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurial Advantage” (IDEA) course, led by Prof. Dame Fiona Murray and Dr.Phil Budden, two very special friends and human beings. It was this IDEA course, while an MIT-Sloan EMBA student, which catalyzed an enduring aspiration to create a differentiated multi-stakeholder innovation ecosystem at HHC, with the goal of accelerating the world’s best startups to transform patient care. So grateful for the incredible gift of an MIT-Sloan education. A gift that keeps on giving.
