A recent survey conducted by a colleague reminded me of the growing concern with quality across our industry. Often, the biggest challenges for quality research arise when there is not an adequate methodology to surveys, proper representation in sample sizes, and compensating good quality for a cheap and fast result.
Finding the right fit for a high-quality research project begins with investing in a thoughtful approach to every part of the process, this ensures an outcome that has a strong return on investment while developing a strong action plan moving forward.

Many of us met for drinks in our new space last week before heading out to join others at our holiday party. It was a great opportunity to meet new staff in person for the first time.
The next three years will be an interesting experiment at Environics Research. We’ve learned by coincidence that the more we move away from the traditional office model, the happier people are with their jobs and the more productive we are. Having just moved in to a smaller, sustainable, and more flexible space, we will be evaluating various approaches to maintain and build culture based on our own experience, and drawing on the foundation of social values research that has spawned our new corporate culture practice. Lower overhead means more money to invest in new ideas. We’ll be grappling head-on with creative, effective ways to onboard and mentor staff, and ways to maximize engagement for those thousands of miles from their colleagues. We’ll be applying our insights skills to sort out what is best accomplished face-to-face and what is best done online. It will be an exciting journey with important implications for employees and employers over the next decade.
