After over 10 years as BetterCloud's CFO, the time has come to move on. October was my last month as CFO. I’ll be working in an advisory capacity for a short period of time before leaving.

I had the great fortune of meeting David Politis in 2013 in (let’s call it) a “modest” lower-Manhattan office (in which working air conditioning was a future aspiration). Up to that meeting, I was impressed with the achievements and grit of this very-early-stage, pre-revenue company. Walking out, I was blown away by the character and values of the people that comprised it. I wanted in!!!

Fast forward to today - many remarkable accomplishments and milestones later (and as many perseverance-testing moments) - BetterCloud is the market-leading SaaS Management Platform, a category we forged.  Thousands of companies rely on BetterCloud to automate user lifecycle management and data protection across their SaaS applications.

But it’s not about the destination, it’s the journey that matters most. There is so much I’m proud of. Yet the clear highlight has been building and persevering alongside some of the most hardworking, passionate, and empathetic people I’ve encountered (#humbleyethungry). My time at BetterCloud has been some of the most rewarding and fulfilling of my life. For this, I'm eternally grateful.

BetterCloud is still early in its journey. The vision for SaaS management is as big as ever. I couldn't be more excited to cheer on Jesse Levin, Alyxa Lease, Manuel Martinez-Herrera, Sean Hill, and the rest of the leadership team in this next chapter of growth.

The list of those who have helped and contributed is long - and I’m sure I’ll miss some (sorry!) - but I’d be remiss not to thank a few folks by name.

To David Politis, what a privilege and joy it has been to travel this road together over our decade-long partnership. I’m grateful to have been a contributor in building this great company with you and the team. And I’m forever grateful for our friendship.

To our executive team past and present (Joseph Iantosca, Manuel Martinez-Herrera, Alyxa Lease, Jim Brennan, Jamie Tischart, David Hardwick, Nuphar Schwartz, Chris Jones, Russell Sachs, Shreyas Sadalgi), I am grateful for your dedication, perseverance, and partnership.

To C. Alex Estevez, the impact of your mentorship over the years is literally immeasurable, making me not just a better executive and leader but a more thoughtful, reflective, and self-aware human being. And so I endeavor to pass on these learnings and more to others.

To our investors (Jon Hallett, David Aronoff, Bo Peabody, Jay Markley, Arun Mathew, Enrique Salem, Brian Chang, Samuel Lipsick, Boying Shui, Vista Equity Partners), thank you for your guidance, your support, and your trust to help build this category-creating company.

As for what's next for me, I am going to take some time off to rest, reflect, and spend time with family and friends. But I’ll be back soon enough. Until then.
