Having gained exposure in various global hubs like Washington D.C, London, Geneva, and The Hague, Basanti has honed the ability to thrive in fast-paced, multi-cultural settings, excelling in complex and thought-provoking scenarios.

With educational pursuits that include a BA from the University of California, Davis, a Bachelor of Laws - LLB (Hons) from Queen Mary University of London, and studies at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the International Baccalaureate program at Northfields International School, Basanti is well-equipped to navigate the intricacies of international law.

Basanti Mardemootoo has garnered valuable experience through various professional roles, including being a former Mini-Pupil in Public Law/Public International Law at Landmark Chambers, an Intern with the Countering Terrorist Travel Programme in the Office of Counter Terrorism at the United Nations, an Intern in Public Policy and Regulations at Dentons, an Intern in the Office of the Director, Division of External Operations at the International Criminal Court, an Intern at the District Attorney’s Office in Sacramento County, and an Intern at the International Center for Terrorism Studies at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies.

Currently, Basanti Mardemootoo is seeking opportunities to further expand her skill set and leverage the tools acquired through her academic and professional journey to carve a successful career path in the realm of international law.
