Ben County, a lifelong Conservative Republican from Iowa, is running for the position of county attorney.
Raised in a small town by his parents who instilled in him strong family values, Ben learned valuable life lessons from his grandfather, a farmer and World War II Veteran, and his grandmother, a retired nurse.
Having lived in various states and communities, Ben has returned to Sac County to serve and protect the community he believes is the best place to call home.
As a fifth generation Sac County resident, Ben has a deep connection to the area, having been born in Sac City and raised in Lake View where he excelled both academically and in extracurricular activities.
Ben pursued his education locally, earning a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and political science from Buena Vista University, where he was recognized for his achievements in academics, music, and sports. He also earned a spot on the all-American football team.
With a desire to enforce the law fairly and respectfully, Ben County aims to serve as county attorney, prioritizing the safety and well-being of the community.
