Helped a friend work through a rough day last night. They work in a hospital and were bullied by a peer at work. Called names, yelled at, questioned. The bully involved their manager they took the bully’s side, berating my friend, not acknowledging the psychologically unsafe environment they further created.
It may surprise you to learn the peer and the manager are both women and my friend is a man.
It’s helpful to consider that we’re all human and everybody deserves respect and psychological safety in the workplace.
