I'm honored and excited to join the board of the Nashville Teacher Residency! Founded in 2016, NTR is a premier teacher pipeline and preparation program in Middle TN. Over 100 NTR graduates already serve in middle TN classrooms, teaching over 10,000 students - and the journey ahead will only build on the organization's early success. I love NTR because of our mission, "Develop and license teachers from diverse backgrounds and experiences who honor the dignity of every student" and because of the organization's authentic commitment to equity and doing right by our students and community. And, of course, because of the wonderful people involved from our amazing ED, Matt Cheek, to some of the inspiring board members and previous board members who've helped NTR maximize its vision and impact, folks like Alan Coverstone, Amy Wooten, Indira Dammu, Laura Delgado, Justin Testerman, Deborah Boyd, and Harry L. Allen. I'm excited to get started!
