Redefining Success

As we count down the days to the Paris 2024 opening ceremony, now less than two weeks away, it's time to reflect on what success truly means.

Over 460 Australian Olympians will compete, yet less than 15% (49 is the estimate) will return with a medal.

These athletes have trained relentlessly, sacrificing social lives, opportunities, and dedicating much of their lives to their chosen field.

And then, while the world watches, they may not even make the podium at what is likely the highlight of their career.

But should a medal be the only measure of their success?

Success is about resilience, dedication, and the unwavering spirit to pursue one's dreams despite the odds. It's about the journey, the lessons learned, and the personal growth achieved along the way.

These athletes embody the essence of hard work, perseverance, and the courage to strive for greatness.

“You can’t stop someone that won’t stop”.

This quote captures the essence of our Olympians. Whether in training, competing, or transitioning into life after sport, their relentless spirit defines true success.

As we cheer them on, win or lose, let's redefine success.

Let's celebrate their efforts, their dedication, and their indomitable spirit. They are not just Olympians; they are inspirations, role models, and beacons of hope for all of us.

We look forward to welcoming back our sporting legends, regardless of where they may finish, and will support them in leading fulfilling lives beyond competition.

Join me in honouring every athlete competing at Paris 2024, for their legacy extends far beyond the medals they may or may not win.

They remind us that true success is measured by the impact we leave on others and the legacy we create. #RedefiningSuccess #Paris2024 #Olympics #Legacy #Inspiration #JourneyNotDestination #LEAFproject #killaracollective
