Benita von Lilienfeld-Berry is a dedicated 3L student at CUNY Law with a strong passion for Public Interest law.

Her diverse professional background includes experiences at a Big Law firm, immigration nonprofits, and legal services nonprofits, showcasing a commitment to social justice.

During her legal education journey, Benita interned with the Honorable Peggy Kuo, Magistrate Judge of the Eastern District of New York, as well as the Gender Equality Law Center.

She holds a Doctor of Law - JD, Public Interest degree from City University of New York School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, Spanish Culture, and Literature from the University of Virginia.

Benita has been actively involved in various organizations such as the CUNY School of Law Human Rights & Gender Justice Clinic, the Gender Equality Law Center, and the Lawyers Alliance for New York.

Her professional experience also includes roles at The New York Immigration Coalition, Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, the U.S. Department of Justice Trustee Program, and more, illustrating her well-rounded skill set.
