I decided that I’ll participate in the LA28 Olympics.

As mental coach.

Because after supporting 1 athlete to reach the Olympic final in Paris I want to support more athletes to reach their dreams of Olympics in the future. The right way. Not at the “all cost way”.

For me it’s a big challenge because:

  • I dot not work (yet) with a national federation
  • I come from the corporate world, not the high level sport one
  • For now I have a limited experience of the Olympics as coach

To succeed this is what I intend to do:

  • Always be aligned with my core values: passion, hard working, giving
  • Keep working with high level athletes, from all sports & all nationalities
  • Considering myself as a high level athlete of my own category. In every aspect of my job.

Rendez-vous in 4 years. Until then, I’ll keep the grit. Every day.

Today it's one more step.

One more step to support better people.

I obtained a license in Mental Health First Aid. Created by Mental Health First Aid International & delivered in France by PREMIERS SECOURS EN SANTE MENTALE FRANCE (PSSM FRANCE)

This was important to me in order to:

  • Understand better deeper mental health topics
  • Being able to assess if I need to guide to mental health professionals anyone that would go through depression, anxiety or psychosis; or even assist in crisis situations (suicidal thoughts, panic attacks, severe effects of drugs, etc..)
  • Not only focus on my athletes but to be able to give a hand to anyone in the above situations

This is not the core of my job. --> But I strongly believe that, as mental coach, if I work with anybody that experience deeper mental problems, it's also my responsibility to identify it and then support them to talk the right persons (psychologists, psychiatrists or even calling people that would offer the right mental health assistance).

When I partner with an athlete, we aim for higher performance. But behind the performance there is a man, a woman.

I’m a mental coach of Professional, Olympic, Paralympic, & younger athletes. I support those athletes to achieve their goals & reach their dreams. One progress at a time. Instagram: https://lnkd.in/e6tAEDRt
