Highlights
I’ve have the opportunity to work on many amazing projects throughout my time at Uber—piloting innovative new products, spearheading mutually-beneficial partnerships, launching a transportation consulting business, and of course, planning and executing massive event operations globally.
While I’ll save a full 2024 recap for the end of the year, I want to take a moment to quickly share how proud I am of my team and all of our partners that helped deliver successful operations at the 2024 Democratic and Republican National Conventions. NSSE classification naturally translates to heightened security risk and increased complexity, but this year felt like there were more variables and obstacles to navigate than ever before.
Fortunately, we were able to rely on a wealth of historical data and industry expertise to help forecast demand and shape site plans to deliver the best possible end-to-end guest experiences in extremely complex environments. Countless hours went into designing operations, customizing in-app tech, and developing communication strategies to effectively engage riders and drivers across Milwaukee and Chicago during the convention weeks.
Each day, Uber was responsible for moving tens of thousands of guests, and we did so with high trip reliability and average wait times of just minutes, while increasing earning opportunities for drivers in the market.
Only a handful of folks will know the signifance of 4K PU, 90% uC/R, or 5 min. aATA. Even fewer will truly appreciate what it takes to make that happen…
Months of planning. A constant balancing act between advocacy and diplomacy. Endless analysis. A bit of healthy assumption paired with comprehensive preparation. Adapting. Embracing innovation while remaining grounded on fundamentals. Long days and late nights. Execution.
These conventions weren’t the highest attended events that I’ve worked on, nor were they the largest footprints that we’ve produced. But for our country, they are of the utmost importance. And for the host cities, these conventions are now stitched into the fabric of their history.
With this, I consider it a great honor to have been a part of it all and I salute all of the organizers, local and federal law enforcement agencies, and partners in our network that had a hand in making the conventions a success.

It's been a busy morning with the announcement during the Uber Go-Get event, that Uber Shuttles are coming to sports and entertainment venues soon. Congrats to Anders G., Sean Pritchard, and Becky Katz Davis.
For venue operators and property developers, this can unlock solutions to spatial constraints, public transit voids, or congestion challenges when mass crowd movement is the priority.
For fans, affordability and peace of mind will be one click away. With the ability to schedule in advance or book a seat in real-time from a stadium or amphitheater, riders will have another affordable and reliable means of departing the post-event crowds.
With pilots slated for this summer, it will be exciting to see how Uber Shuttle can drive innovation in event transportation through 2024 and beyond.
